The Weapons

As the Assassin Altair, even with the various methods of assassination, eliminating your target quietly and without a struggle can often prove very difficult. This is often caused by the rapid change of one weapon to the next, and in most situations throughout the game is often required. So gaining the ability to eliminate your targets quietly and elegantly, should first be developed by learning about the various weapons of assassination and when best to use them. With this, we can help!

The Sword:
The standard device for combat. One, who selects the sword, is in most cases considered to be on the safe side. It can block, counter and deal damage to the enemy. This sort of device or weapon would only be chosen in situations requiring you to fight one or more enemies face to face.

The Short Blade:
The weapon of choice in close quarter combat with very few opponents. Fast, handily and mortally are more of the most important characteristics of the short blade. In combat the short blade can be used to block most attacks, but countering attacks tend to be less effective. Generally the short blade is ideal for remote fights.

The Hidden Blade:
The number one choice of weapon used in quiet and elegant assassinations. In close combat with uninformed soldier or target is ideal, but can neither block nor attack directly.

Fists: Before receiving any weapons in the beginning of the game, these are used as your main weapons, and the use of fists prevents the use of countering, causing a more frequent exchange of blows. The possibilities of fighting with fists are limited to only attacking and blocking, therefore hefting a piece of steel in hand when engaging in contact with the guards would be recommended.
